Come for an unforgettable holiday to our informal guesthouse in Brix, Manche, situated in the midst of beautiful Normandy countryside. A perfect location to explore the Cotentin peninsula!

La Manche – Cotentin is the peninsula of Normandy – France, surrounded by the sea with more than 300 miles of coastline with beautiful golden sandy beaches, high cliffs, forests and a green and hilly countryside.

This château has safe secluded gardens in 12 acres of grounds and pretty meadow lands.
In the gardens you can relax. Soak up the atmosphere by eating outside in the grounds of this beautiful Norman château with lots of character.

Guests have full use of the gardens, which includes the wooden garden furniture and the BBQ under the beautiful, centuries old Cedar tree. It is an idyllic setting for an evening party.

Get married, legal under English law, and celebrate your wedding here in Normandy with only your family and close friends (only suitable for small groups).

The marriage can be performed in the Roman Catholic Church, situated in the village of Brix (walking distance), if you are catholic.

It is a charming church from the 12th century, with beautiful stained glass windows.

The church can also be used for just a ceremony or a blessing for different religions.

The village priest is available for the catholic marriages only.

Should you prefer you can also bring your own priest or pastor.

The gardens around the château are perfect for photo shoots. We also higly recommend the beautiful gardens of Château des Ravalets (close to Cherbourg).

The Honeymoon couple stays of course in the romantic honeymoon suite with log fire!

Accommodation

Within the château are several apartments , which can be rented separately. A weekly let is normally from Saturday till Saturday.
In low season days of arrival (or departure) may be altered to meet your requirements. Rental per night is also possible. Bed linen and cleaning at departure included. Towels and tea towels you need to bring yourself.

The château has elegant double and family rooms with lovely views over the garden, valley, courtyard or 16th century dovecote.

This romantic room has comfortable chairs around log fire, lovely antiques, king-size double bed, mini fridge, water heater, coffee machine and bathroom en suite. Access is via 16th century tower.

For special occasions, parties, a birthday, a wedding anniversary, a celebration or a simple family holiday, the whole château is available to rent; exclusively for your group!

This large holiday house offers a lot of privacy with several rooms and self-catering apartments within the chateau. The furnishing had been done with great care. All the original features are retained; lovely open fireplaces, panelled walls, stone walls half a metre thick, ceilings with oak beams varied by lovely high and beautifully decorated ceilings with chandeliers and pretty mirrors.
The rooms are decorated using warm colours and nice tissues. You will feel the comfort of today and still have the accommodation of a 16th century château!

You may have your own part of the house with bedroom (s), bathroom and some have a private kitchen and a living room as well; but you can also enjoy each others company as a group to play some games, watch a movie and have meals together.

There is a lovely dining room on the ground floor with a medieval atmosphere, lots of candles, old niches and huge stone fireplace. This is an unforgettable room to celebrate a special occasion. A lot of wedding anniversaries have been celebrated here: 25th, 50th and 60th.For qualified musicians there is a professional Boston/Steinway piano to play to lend that extra ambiance to your party. Next to the dining room is the kitchen with cooking facilities for groups; with dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, extra large oven etc.
You can rent the castle based on self-catering and enjoy your meals at candlelight in the adjoining dining room. Possible to hire a cook or a caterer for special occasions.

From the dining room you walk straight into the walled rear garden with a Mediterranean flavour: rose stone walls, olive trees and Chusan palms.
