The Santoro Family invites you to spend your vacation at TodiCastle Estate. A true Italian holiday experience. A successful mixture of a well established family run business and the Italian tradition of hospitality. TodiCastle Estate is 250 acres in the beautiful Umbrian countryside. This is the green heart of Italy, a land of rolling hills and woods of oak. Here you will find a unique ecological paradise, sumptuous Food and Wine, all mixed with treasures of Art and Architecture. Our 12th Century Castle is centrally placed on the Estate, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, fruit trees and cypresses.

In this unspoilt landscape are 3 Villas each located for privacy and beautifully restored and landscaped. Each property is unique and has been restored and carefully furnished by the the Santoro family, who live in the Castle and run this magnificent Estate. Each villa is completely private with its own swimming pool. If required, the Villas can be rented together along with the Castle for large gatherings.

During your stay, a discreet and efficient staff will strive to ensure that your visit to TodiCastle Estate meets all of your expectations. The Estate management provides a unique combination of world class service and facilities with privacy and security. Our concierge service, available to all guests, offers daily maid service, spa and sport arrangements, chauffeur services as well as food delivery and cooking services.

Guests can also enjoy classic Umbrian food in the delightful setting of our Umbria Grill.

TodiCastle Estate is centrally located for easy access to all the delights of Umbria and Tuscany. It is only 15 minutes to Todi or an hour to the galleries, churches, opera, film and jazz festivals of Umbria’s capital city, Perugia. Florence and Rome are a two hour drive. Siena, Arezzo, Assisi and Orvieto are all close by. This is an ideal place for your Family Reunion, for a Group of Friends to vacation together or a Celebration. Within the Castle there is a family chapel. A unique and historical place for a fairy tale wedding!

The property can accommodate any kind of business meeting or conference. Todi Castle Wedding

Set on an idyllic Umbrian hillside and rich with history, TodiCastle is a beautiful medieval fortress that has been transformed into a modern, peaceful and comfortable accommodation.

A luxurious 12th century fortress that has been completely restored, retaining its original impressive character and providing guests with optimum comfort and modern conveniences.
Far from the noise of Rome and Florence and the bustling tourism of Tuscany, at TodiCastle the soul of Italy has remained virtually untouched since the 12th-century.

TodiCastle is an ideal place to spend a vacation, but also very well suited for weddings as well as business meetings.  Many of our guests have rented TodiCastle, not only for their wedding reception, but  for the wedding ceremony  as there is a small private family chapel. Within the Castle there is a medieval banqueting room for family gatherings, wine tastings and other feasts.

Accommodation

TodiCastle is extremely comfortable and welcoming with many communal areas for guests to relax, read and talk  together. Each of the 5 comfortable bedrooms has its own sitting area and private gleaming new ensuite bathroom with shower and tub. Each bedroom  offers a different view of the dreamy, green and picturesque Umbrian landscape.

First floor:

•The Fan Room – with twin beds (2 x 1.20 m)
•The Bishop’s Room – with king size bed (2 m)
Second floor:

•The Virgin’s Room – with twin four poster beds (2 x 1.20 m)
•The Pastoral Suite – with king size four poster bed (2 m) and sitting room
Tower loft:

•with queen size bed (1.8 m) and large sitting room
Each bedroom is decorated in its own distinct style with carefully-chosen artworks, antique and contemporary furniture. Befitting a medieval castle, the architects have made sensitive use of stone, iron and wood to create a blend of contemporary details with the existing historic structure, bringing forth comfortable accommodations.

Within the Castle, ancient stones and stout wooden beams frame chambers decorated with taste and sophistication, to create a juxtaposition of old and new capturing the timeless atmosphere which has always been a hallmark of aristocratic bastions. The rooms at TodiCastle contain many historical family heirlooms.

Umbria Grill Restaurant

TodiCastle is a 250 acres Estate in the beautiful Umbrian countryside in which there are a historic castle, three beautiful villas and an the Italian “Umbria Grill” restaurant.

The castle and the villas are the ideal place to spend a true Italian holiday experience or to organize weddings, ceremonies and business meetings, while the grill restaurant is perfect to taste the authentic Italian cuisine and spend some funny moments with your children.

For wine and food lovers TodiCastle Umbria Grill Restaurant offers a wide range of activities, including savory tastings of typical products, parties, family dinner celebrations and small music concerts or plays, thanks to the amphitheatre in front of the restaurant.

The Grill Restaurant is surrounded a big park of woods and meadows, where it is possible to see animals in the wild, such as goats, horses, deers and wild boars, and there are also facilities to make children play. As a matter of fact, this area offers a playground who looks like a medieval village completely dedicated to children, rare trees and plants, footpaths who lead to a wonderful canyon and archaeological ruins on the top of the hill.

At the Umbria Grill you can taste high quality Italian meals, like pizza or traditional dishes, all cooked over the grill and barbecue, or into the wood stove. Everything is prepared with traditional recipes, organic food and extra virgin olive oil produced by TodiCastle estate. The Italian and Umbrian wines you will find are produced by the local vineyards, according to traditional methods.

Todi Castle Estate will offer an unforgettable Food & Wine Experience to clients who wish to organize private dinners, lunches and events during their stay.

Most of the ingredients that we use come from organic farms in the area and from our own Todi Castle Estate (Wine, Olive Oil, Eggs, Truffles, Vegetables, Fruit).

All the listed prices are per person, and do not include wine.
